To send flowers in memory of Catherine "Cathy" Mazza, please visit our Heartfelt Sympathies Store.
Born in Elizabeth NJ, Cathy spent most of her earlier years in Garwood. It was here that she met and married her husband of 58 years. Together, they built a family and a home in Westfield. Cathy was well known and respected by everyone throughout her career as Payroll and Benefits manager for the town of Westfield.
While Cathy was best known for her love of family, she was notorious for her Italian cooking, family recipes, and truly kind heart. Cathy's kitchen was always open and it was here that she found the most happiness in providing great meals for her loved ones and their close friends. Cathy was fiercely protective over her children; the lessons and guidance she instilled in them can be seen clearly and her legacy will be carried on through them.
From vacations in Disney and trips of a lifetime to Italy and Atlantis, Cathy loved spending time with her family. For the last 49 years, their annual trip to the Jersey Shore has become one of the family's favorite traditions, filled with many great memories that will live on and last a lifetime.
Cathy is survived and will be missed everyday by her husband, Tony Mazza, her daughter Lynn, son Scott with wife Felicia, and daughter Tracy as well as her four grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Jessica, Christopher, Taylor, and Ashley. She is also survived by her two brothers Jim Cusmano with wife Chris, and Nick Cusmano as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Her four-legged daughter, Cassie, brought her so much happiness, as well as her grand-pups Finn and Sammy.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cathy's name to St. Judes Children's Research hospital.
