Life Story for Raymond Mucci

Raymond J. Mucci, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Overlook Hospital after a brief illness. Born on August 24, 1923 in Waterbury Connecticut he was the eldest son of Adolph and Mary Tata Mucci. Ray graduated from local schools, followed by a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.

A WWII Veteran, Ray served as a Corporal in the Field Artillery with the First and Third Armies in the European Theater. He began his business career in the Petro Chemical division of the U.S. Rubber Company. He subsequently entered the finance field as an analyst and retired from Baird Patrick and Co., New York in 2004. He was a resident of Westfield for 40 years.

Ray is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Carol S. Mucci. He is also survived by his son, Philip J. Mucci of Westfield, his daughter, Marianne M. Feledy and her husband Marc A. Feledy of New Vernon and his three grandchildren Caralyn Feledy, Aidan Feledy and Colin Feledy.

A funeral mass was held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11am at Holy Trinity Church in Westfield.
